Scriptures on Forgiveness

God forgives us through His Son, Jesus, to give us an opportunity to have a relationship with Him. God has not held our poor choices over our head, but His forgiveness allows us to enjoy a relationship with Him.

Romans 12:17 Repay no one evil for evil, but give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all.

Matthew 5:7 Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.

John 13:34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.

Ephesians 4:32 “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”

Matthew 6:14  
“For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.”


Scriptures on Love

Jesus was the perfect example of Love...from the day he was born until the day he died.  He showed us how to love one another in his word and in his actions that showed such love and mercy to mankind.  God is Love!

1 Peter 4:8: Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.

Ephesians 5:21: Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.

1 John 4:8: Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.

Corinthians 13:13: And now these three remain: faith, hope and love.
